About AMFM Mental Health Treatment

AMFM Mental Health Treatment is a holistic residential facility dedicated to providing primary mental health care for adults. Located in Lake Forest, the center for women offers a nurturing environment with continuous, personalized support available around the clock. AMFM takes a comprehensive view of wellness, acknowledging that successful recovery goes beyond traditional therapies and medication. Every aspect of their program is carefully designed, incorporating proven treatments, supportive therapeutic relationships, and chef-prepared, healthy meals, all delivered with genuine warmth and detailed attention.

At AMFM California, thorough assessments are conducted to gain insight into each client’s symptoms, personal history, challenges, and strengths. This information is essential for developing tailored treatment plans that address individual needs alongside their difficulties. They provide care for both primary and co-occurring conditions.

AMFM features extensive weekly clinical programming, totaling 60 hours, which includes medication management, several individual therapy sessions each week, family therapy, and case management support. Their compassionate, evidence-based approach targets the underlying factors of mental health issues, supplementing therapy with medication as needed. Licensed professionals deliver a range of therapeutic methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). A distinctive aspect of their offering is the inclusion of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Clients have a weekly session with a psychiatric provider and receive two individual therapy sessions with a counselor weekly. Mindfulness practices are integrated throughout the program to boost the effectiveness of the evidence-based treatments and clients participate in life skills training and psychoeducation.

Situated in the peaceful surroundings of Lake Forest, the residential center provides a tranquil, home-like atmosphere. The facility features both private and shared rooms, inviting living spaces, specialized therapeutic areas, and a serene backyard with a calming porch. With a commitment to a holistic recovery process, the center offers a variety of therapeutic options, such as somatic experiencing, psychodrama, art therapy, yoga, and expressive arts therapy. Following residential care, AMFM continues to provide comprehensive aftercare services, including group therapy, family counseling follow-ups, professional reintegration support, and engaging alumni events, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
