About AMFM Mental Health Treatment

AMFM Mental Health Treatment is a residential mental health provider that offers an integrated model focused on meeting adults’ primary mental health needs. In its Lake Forest men’s program, clients receive a welcoming, safe setting along with individualized support available around the clock. AMFM views recovery as something that goes beyond standard therapy and medication, and the whole program is built to reflect that philosophy. The approach combines research-informed interventions and steady, compassionate clinical relationships, as well as chef-prepared meals designed to nourish both body and mind, with careful attention to comfort and purpose in every detail.

AMFM California begins with thorough evaluations to better understand each person’s symptoms, background, obstacles, and personal strengths. Using this information, the team develops treatment plans tailored to the individual’s needs and circumstances. Their care covers primary mental health concerns as well as conditions that occur alongside them, including: AMFM delivers 60 hours of clinical programming each week, including medication management, several individual sessions weekly, weekly family therapy, and case management services. The center’s evidence-based, caring approach targets the underlying drivers of mental health issues, using medication when it’s clinically appropriate. Treatment is led by licensed professionals who may provide cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and more. AMFM also offers transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) as part of its services. Clients typically meet weekly with a psychiatric provider and attend individual therapy sessions twice per week with a counselor. Mindfulness is integrated throughout the program to strengthen the effectiveness of the evidence-based treatments. Additional programming includes life skills training and psychoeducation.

Set in quiet Lake Forest, AMFM’s residential facility creates a calm, house-like atmosphere. Residents have access to private or semi-private rooms, comfortable common areas, dedicated therapeutic spaces, and a peaceful backyard with a relaxing porch. With a holistic focus, the center provides a variety of therapeutic options, such as somatic experiencing, psychodrama, art therapy, yoga, and expressive arts therapy. After residential treatment, AMFM continues support through aftercare, including group therapy, family follow-up counseling, guidance for returning to daily life, and alumni events, helping clients maintain continuity of care.
