About Evolve Adolescent Behavioral Health

At Evolve Mount Helix, teens ages 12–17 receive a supportive, understanding environment as they work through mental health, substance use, and behavioral concerns. The program is limited to six teens at a time, so treatment never feels cramped. Most stays run about 45–60 days and include continuous supervision, scheduled therapy, and coordinated support from psychiatry and nursing professionals. Along with evidence-based clinical care, teens also participate in equine therapy, art, music, yoga, surfing, hiking, and other enrichment activities.

At Evolve, the goal is to help each teen gain practical skills and insight that can lead to lasting change. Individual plans are tailored to each person’s needs, blending psychiatric care with approaches such as DBT, CBT, and motivational interviewing. The structure is intentional and adaptable, designed to match what a teen needs most. Families are included as well, learning the same strategies so the home setting becomes calmer and more supportive. By bringing these elements together, Evolve aims to strengthen hope and progress that continues after discharge.

Set in the peaceful Mt. Helix area, the center is housed in a comfortable, care-focused residence. Teens have access to a fully equipped gym for training or yoga, a secure pool with trained safety staff, and a large outdoor space with games and a sport court. Nutritious daily meals are prepared by an on-site chef. Bedrooms are arranged to promote rest and healthy sleep, and there is a dedicated school room with computers to help teens stay on track academically.

After residential treatment, Evolve’s aftercare plan is built to prevent teens from being left to adjust on their own. The transition is organized with options such as outpatient services, continued therapy, and regular follow-up check-ins. The center also provides online therapy across California, allowing ongoing care without the burden of long travel.
