Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health was established in April 2018 to help reduce mental health disparities across Fresno County. Dr. Tatum, a local leader who founded the organization, was motivated by firsthand experiences with how harmful it can be when behavioral health needs go unmet. Dr. Tatum often heard from concerned family members and referral partners who were searching for options for people who needed more structured, intensive care but did not meet the requirements for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. That gap in care helped lead to the creation of Sierra Meadows. Today, Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health is Fresno’s only private outpatient mental health program for adults. The center also provides residential treatment in Clovis, California, in a comfortable, home-like environment.
Clients can access evidence-based services through the outpatient program, including traditional counseling and talk therapy, solution-focused therapy, couples therapy, individual counseling, family therapy, and more. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) is available four days per week in both daytime and evening schedules, and the Day Treatment (PHP) program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Virtual appointments via Zoom are also available.
