About Kings View

Kings View, founded in 1951, is a nonprofit organization that offers behavioral health and social services to people who face limited resources. Guided by Christ-centered principles of love, compassion, and respect for every individual, it has grown over the last seven decades to serve more than 65,000 clients in over 20 counties. The organization works to meet the varied needs of underserved communities throughout the state.

Kings View delivers a broad set of programs, including mental health services, substance use disorder treatment, assistance for adults with intellectual disabilities, and telepsychiatry. Its mental health care uses evidence-based, recovery-focused outpatient approaches delivered at different levels of intensity, through individual, group, and family sessions. For adults with intellectual disabilities, Kings View also provides training to build everyday living skills, support community participation, and strengthen pre-vocational abilities. Through telepsychiatry, clients in remote locations can access psychiatric counseling and group therapy through secure video conferencing.

A key priority for Kings View is lowering stigma and expanding access to behavioral health care for everyone, especially underserved populations. The organization further supports others through health information services such as electronic health record support, health information analytics, and cost reporting. With programs like SIGNETcare, Kings View helps ease pressure on overcrowded emergency rooms by offering more timely, appropriate medical and behavioral health options so individuals receive the right level of care when they need it.
