About Opus Health LLC
Community-style residences
Opus Health operates three gender-separate locations in scenic Newport Beach, California. Two of the sites function as residential homes, while the third offers medical detox. The upscale residences accommodate up to six clients each, creating a close, community-like living environment throughout recovery. Residents live in semi-private rooms with queen-size beds, contemporary furnishings, and plenty of natural light. Nutritious, well-balanced meals are provided to help clients stay focused on healing. Outside, clients can use a barbecue grill and relax in an outdoor patio area. The program also allows clients to keep personal cellphones and laptops.
Rehabilitation approach
Opus Health provides medical detox and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Clients receive psychological and psychiatric services, daily check-ins with a doctor, and consistent guidance from a compassionate and experienced team. Care is delivered using a bio-psycho-spiritual framework, with the aim of addressing the deeper causes of addiction, not simply managing symptoms. For clients who also have dual diagnosis needs, the center offers medical support, evidence-based therapeutic options, and medication management when appropriate. Opus Health places strong emphasis on 12-step facilitation, along with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, eye movement therapy (EMDR), meditation and mindfulness practices, and family counseling. The overall program also includes spiritual growth, fitness activities, nutrition education, and group experiences such as surfing, rock climbing, and outings to the beach.
