Asana Recovery offers care for substance use disorders and dual diagnoses across Orange County. The center provides outpatient programming, including day treatment, intensive outpatient, and standard outpatient services. Recovery is guided by a biological, psychological, and social (BPS) model, and each person receives an individualized plan based on their circumstances. Programming is also adapted for specific groups, such as veterans, clients coping with co-occurring mental health concerns, and couples.
The process begins with an initial evaluation to identify treatment requirements. The team at Asana Recovery includes medical doctors, clinical social workers, therapists, counselors, and support personnel. Providers work together on an ongoing basis to adjust services to a client’s progress, goals, and changing needs. Evidence-based therapies are available, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and medication-assisted treatment when indicated. Clients also receive education about addiction and recovery, opportunities for holistic approaches, family therapy, and therapeutic recreational activities.
Outpatient options are structured as day treatment (partial hospitalization), intensive outpatient, and general outpatient. In day treatment, clients attend the program for about six hours per day, five to seven days each week. During this level of care, individuals select one of three focus areas: Vocational, Educational, or Employment. Intensive outpatient includes three hours of programming per day, Monday through Friday, delivered either in person or via virtual sessions. General outpatient is offered a few times per week to help clients remain engaged with counseling, peer support, and recovery resources. Asana Recovery also facilitates 12-Step and SMART Recovery support groups.
Specialized tracks are available for veterans, couples, and people with dual diagnoses. The veterans track brings veterans together and emphasizes trauma-informed approaches, practical life skills, stress management strategies, and holistic supports. The dual diagnosis program is designed for co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, and related challenges. For couples, Asana Recovery provides addiction treatment that is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team, creating tailored care plans that reflect the relationship and each partner’s needs.
Also confirm the facility is licensed by California (this facility reports accreditation). If you are withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines, ask about medical detox; do not stop suddenly on your own.
Asana Recovery did not report which payment types it accepts. If you have Medicaid, ask whether the facility accepts your California Medicaid plan or can refer you to one that does. Most private plans must cover substance use treatment on terms comparable to other medical care under federal parity law.
