About AMFM Mental Health Treatment

AMFM Mental Health Treatment is an integrative residential program focused on supporting adults with primary mental healthcare. The Carlsbad, CA location provides a caring, welcoming setting with individualized support and continuous, 24/7 supervision for women. AMFM understands that progress involves more than standard counseling and medication, so its residential experience is designed as a whole-person approach to wellness. Each part of the program is thoughtfully planned, including proven clinical methods, strong therapeutic relationships, and chef-prepared, nutritious meals. The result is an environment shaped by warmth, purpose, and careful attention to detail.

AMFM begins with thorough assessments to better understand each client’s symptoms, personal history, difficulties, and strengths. Using this information, the team builds treatment plans that align with what a person needs most. The program addresses primary mental health concerns as well as co-occurring conditions.

Clients receive 60 hours of weekly clinical programming, which includes medication management, several individual therapy sessions each week, weekly family therapy, and case management.

The center’s evidence-based, compassionate care focuses on the underlying drivers of mental health challenges, using medication when appropriate. Licensed clinicians offer approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and others. In addition, AMFM provides transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Clients meet weekly with a psychiatric provider for an individual session and attend twice-weekly individual sessions with a counselor. Mindfulness is integrated throughout the program to strengthen the impact of evidence-based therapies. The curriculum also includes life skills training and psychoeducation.

Located in the beachside area of Carlsbad, AMFM’s residential center creates a calm, home-like atmosphere. The facility offers private and semi-private rooms, comfortable common areas, dedicated therapeutic spaces, and a scenic backyard with a relaxing porch. Emphasizing holistic recovery, the center includes a range of therapeutic options such as somatic experiencing, psychodrama, art therapy, yoga, and expressive arts therapy. After residential treatment, AMFM continues with structured aftercare, including group therapy, family follow-up counseling, support for professional re-entry, and active alumni events to help maintain steady support after discharge.
