Located within the Sydenham Clinic in upscale Beverly Hills, Synergy Empowering Recovery (also referred to as Synergy Health) offers detox along with residential, day, intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient (OP) programs for people struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. The center focuses on meaningful change during detox, emphasizing progress rather than simply rest. Treatment plans are tailored through a range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive processing therapy (CPT), behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), family therapy, and medication management. Their programming addresses essential areas such as coping skills, anger management, trauma recovery, and grief.

For clients receiving outpatient services, the program includes at least one individual therapy session each week, a family session, and several group sessions as well.

Synergy Empowering Recovery also provides more personalized residential care through concierge-style settings in Malibu and the West Hollywood Hills, supported by a large multidisciplinary team. Each person’s recovery plan is built by a dedicated group that may include an addictionologist, trauma specialist, psychiatrist, primary therapist, case manager, EMDR specialist, family therapist, and personal wellness and comfort staff. Additional support can include a personal trainer, masseuse, personal chef, holistic healer, meditation expert, yoga instructor, and personal shopper.

The center can also coordinate alumni support by pairing clients with a sober companion who helps them navigate early recovery. Visits occur either at the client’s home or at a Malibu office.

In addition, Synergy runs six sober living homes locally, and most of these properties feature a pool.
