About Action Family Counseling
The Bakersfield outpatient program is designed to assist both teenagers and adults who face challenges with substance use, whether it be drugs or alcohol. This program provides a well-structured environment through its intensive outpatient services. Participants engage in three group therapy sessions weekly, each lasting three hours. Additionally, this center is recognized as a welcoming and safe environment for LGBTQ+ individuals.
At the heart of their methodology lies therapeutic support and meaningful connections. Clients benefit from various forms of counseling, including individual sessions, family therapy, and group discussions. These therapeutic practices assist individuals in comprehending their actions, repairing relationships, and developing skills that support ongoing sobriety. The nurturing atmosphere fosters a sense of safety and encouragement for personal growth.
The program features specific group sessions for adolescents aged 12 to 17, as well as for adults aged 18 and older. Family therapy is also available to facilitate healing among family members. As individuals progress through their treatment, they are motivated to participate in the aftercare program to maintain their support network and further their path to recovery.
