About True North Recovery Fairbanks
Located in Fairbanks, True North Recovery supports people in managing substance use and mental health challenges through medication-assisted outpatient care, peer support, and a detox center in Wasilla. The program addresses alcohol and drug addiction as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. Their aim is to deliver individualized, culturally sensitive treatment, with same-day availability. Outpatient services typically run from 3 to 9 months, and some clients may remain in a recovery residence for an additional 6 to 12 months.
True North Recovery also provides crisis services. To further improve access, they offer walk-in assessments, completing four evaluations each weekday from 9 to 11 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition, True North Recovery collaborates with the Alcohol Safety Action Program (ASAP), the Office of Child Services (OCS), and Therapeutic Courts to ensure clients receive the most effective, evidence-based care.
