About Fairbanks Native Association

Set in a peaceful residential area of Fairbanks, the Women & Children's Center for Inner Healing provides a long-term live-in program for pregnant women and new mothers with children up to age 7 as they recover from substance use disorder. This caring, home-like environment includes a dedicated play area for the children and creates a calm space where families can start building a healthier future. Women receive support through both group and one-on-one counseling to help them recognize addiction triggers and break harmful patterns. Alongside therapy, the program teaches practical life skills and parenting approaches, helping mothers strengthen their routines for lasting stability and success. In addition to its residential services, the center extends help to the wider community through culturally informed outpatient counseling. It also focuses on suicide prevention and responses to the opioid crisis, delivering a range of programs designed to support the wellbeing and resilience of families across the Fairbanks region.
