About Matt Talbot Recovery Center
Matt Talbot Recovery Center Men’s Residential is a 26-bed residential program designed to provide a secure, encouraging environment for adult men who are working toward recovery from substance use. For more than half a century, since 1966, the center has offered a structured day-to-day schedule that includes both individual and group counseling, family-focused education, and training in practical life skills. The program is delivered in a home-like setting, helping residents concentrate on rebuilding stability and strengthening confidence.
Most residents remain in the program for about 90 days. During this time, they practice healthier coping strategies and learn resources that support long-term wellness. The center also offers group support through programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, along with guidance for navigating situations that could interfere with their progress. When residents need additional time or added assistance because of age, health, or other concerns, the team works with them to prolong participation when possible or to move them to another appropriate level of care.
Each person receives an individualized care plan addressing physical, emotional, and social needs. An experienced group of professionals supports residents before, throughout, and after the stay to ensure they feel ready and well supported. Overall, the program helps residents form new skills, routines, and support networks so they can continue growing and maintaining their progress after leaving the center.
