Froedtert’s Forest Home Health Center sits on the south side of Milwaukee and supports adults and couples of all ages dealing with mental health and substance use concerns. The center provides traditional outpatient services, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and partial hospitalization programs (PHP, sometimes referred to as day treatment). Appointments are available both in person and through virtual sessions. Office hours run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with additional time from 5 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Care is led by a team of psychologists who start by evaluating the person or couple requesting help. This assessment allows the staff to match clients with the most appropriate, evidence-based options. The program may include brainspotting to help clients process trauma. Treatment approaches can include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-informed therapy (DBT), individual and group psychotherapy, family therapy, medication management, biofeedback, neurofeedback, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and esketamine injections.
The center may also recommend the SilverCloud app, which uses CBT techniques to help clients work through persistent worries and shift unhelpful emotional patterns. In addition, Froedtert conducts clinical research studies that may give participants access to additional therapies to explore.
Froedtert offers customized programming designed to help clients build connection and personal growth. There are specialty groups for depression, anxiety, parenting, relationships, self-improvement, and support for women. Older adults receive attention geared toward dementia and memory-related challenges. By maintaining an inclusive, supportive setting, the center aims to provide compassionate care that fits each person’s circumstances and stage of life.
Family involvement is encouraged, and relatives may visit and take part in aspects of care. Anyone under 18 who visits must be accompanied by an adult.
Scheduling and ongoing communication are supported through Epic’s MyChart, which lets clients book appointments, review progress notes, pay bills, and stay engaged in treatment planning through the app or website. The clinic is part of the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin network and uses a consistent, research-informed approach comparable to other Froedtert locations. While some network sites, including Froedtert's Holy Family Memorial, provide Catholic-based services, Froedtert’s Forest Home Health Center offers secular care.
Also confirm the facility is licensed by Wisconsin. If you are withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines, ask about medical detox; do not stop suddenly on your own.
Froedtert & MCW Forest Home Health Center did not report which payment types it accepts. If you have Medicaid, ask whether the facility accepts your Wisconsin Medicaid plan or can refer you to one that does. Most private plans must cover substance use treatment on terms comparable to other medical care under federal parity law.
