About Groups Recover Together
Groups Recover Together Beckley provides outpatient care for opioid use disorder, with an emphasis on serving underserved communities. Since 2014, the center has supported people through an office-based opioid treatment (OBOT) model that blends medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with counseling. Services include both virtual and in-person options, designed to make recovery more reachable while strengthening it through relationships, responsibility, and encouragement around shared recovery milestones led by peers and qualified counselors.
The program uses FDA-approved Suboxone to help ease withdrawal symptoms and lower cravings, along with weekly group therapy sessions. Individuals work with a caring, multidisciplinary team that may include substance use counselors, recovery support specialists, and clinical providers. The intake process is streamlined and often completed virtually, helping connect participants quickly to medical evaluation, medication, and peer support—so they can build sustained recovery and move back toward personal goals.
