About LifeStance Health Lakewood

LifeStance Health operates multiple centers and brings together a nationwide team of licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, and nurse practitioners to support people dealing with a range of mental health and substance-use concerns. Services are offered through private, one-on-one therapy in both in-person and virtual formats. They treat a variety of conditions, including mental illness, addiction-related issues, grief and major life changes, postpartum depression, and more. The program is also well known for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), an option commonly used when depression does not improve with other therapies or medications.

At LifeStance, clients work with highly rated clinicians who focus on treating diverse needs across different age groups. Care is customized to each person’s situation, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Treatment is available for substance and alcohol dependence as well as process addictions, including eating disorders and hoarding. They also support adolescents who struggle with school avoidance. In addition to general services, gender-focused and specialty care may include programs for men’s or women’s concerns, pain management, somatoform disorders, psychosis, postpartum depression or anxiety, couples counseling, grief support, insomnia, and behavioral challenges in children.

Personalized care at LifeStance is guided by a multidisciplinary group of board-certified professionals and social workers who collaborate to shape treatment. Plans may feature therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based stress reduction, solution-focused therapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Depending on the client’s needs—especially for children and teens—approaches like narrative therapy and play therapy may also be included.

Families and patients can access a mix of adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, individual therapy, group therapy, or family therapy as appropriate. LifeStance also provides support for new parents who may be experiencing difficulties related to life adjustment, emotional well-being, or sleep. Beyond therapy, the center offers neuropsychological testing, as well as psychological assessments and evaluations. Full mental health services are available five days per week, Monday through Friday, with both virtual and in-person appointments. LifeStance Health accepts most major insurance plans.
