The Pavilion offers essential stabilization for people who are coping with a psychiatric condition or who are viewed as an immediate risk to themselves or others. Clinicians create personalized care plans focused on controlling each patient’s urgent symptoms. Throughout the day and night, patients are supervised around the clock by trained nurses or healthcare providers. Most individuals stay for about 5 to 7 days. Alongside medical support, treatment includes hands-on and group-based therapeutic activities. Patients may also choose to participate in physical exercise programs and creative or expressive therapies. The program’s goal at The Pavilion is to help patients and their families better understand the illness and to lower the likelihood of readmission.
Also confirm the facility is licensed by Virginia (this facility reports accreditation). If you are withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines, ask about medical detox; do not stop suddenly on your own.
The Pavilion did not report which payment types it accepts. If you have Medicaid, ask whether the facility accepts your Virginia Medicaid plan or can refer you to one that does. Most private plans must cover substance use treatment on terms comparable to other medical care under federal parity law.
