About Turning Point Centers
Turning Point Lone Peak offers residential treatment for addiction along with co-occurring mental health challenges. The center follows a non-12-Step model, emphasizing care led by physicians and aimed at identifying the root drivers of substance use while building realistic strategies for lasting recovery. Turning Point provides a complete continuum of services, including long-term aftercare designed to keep clients closely connected to ongoing support.
Turning Point Lone Peak supports treatment for primary substance use disorders as well as mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and certain eating disorders including binge eating and ARFID. They also address trauma and other related concerns. A trained team, made up of physicians, clinical mental health counselors, addiction counselors, and clinical social workers, creates an individualized plan based on each client’s diagnosis and specific needs. Services begin with an initial assessment to determine the most appropriate therapies and treatment methods.
As a non-12-Step program, Turning Point Lone Peak integrates multiple evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches in both group sessions and individualized 1:1 work. The therapies may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Medication-assisted treatment is used when appropriate to help sustain recovery. Clients typically receive three weekly 1:1 therapy sessions, family counseling, regular check-ins with the physician on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule, and daily group programming focused on peer support and skill-building.
Turning Point offers continuing care options, with outpatient programming and sober living resources available close by to support long-term success. Each person is assigned a case manager to coordinate and simplify the treatment process. The Lone Peak residential setting provides shared or private rooms, chef-prepared meals, gym access, and recreational activities such as art, yoga, and ropes courses. Turning Point’s lifetime aftercare includes alumni events, volunteer opportunities, group meetings, and online support through private social media groups.
