About Valley Behavioral Health
The residential program in Salt Lake City provides support for men dealing with mental illness, addiction, trauma, and co-occurring conditions. It is also available for individuals who face legal obstacles or lack stable housing. Participants receive round-the-clock care in a structured environment aimed at improving mental stability and building a foundation for long-term recovery. The Valley Steps program is designed to help men move toward stable housing by combining mental health treatment with practical support services.
Services typically include individual counseling and group therapy, case management, and medication-assisted care when appropriate. Qualified, licensed staff work with each client to address emotional and behavioral difficulties. The program relies on evidence-based approaches and supports healing in a holistic way. Through therapy, clients learn to reduce symptoms, strengthen coping strategies, and maintain momentum after they complete the program.
Residents benefit from a supportive daily setting with either shared or private rooms, routine meals, and onsite resources. A calm atmosphere supports steady progress and greater independence. With ongoing access to mental health services and recovery support, clients work toward improved well-being, durable stability, and a successful return to the community or to supportive housing.
