About Valley Behavioral Health

The center provides outpatient treatment for adults dealing with mental health and substance use concerns. Clients continue to live at home while participating in care throughout Salt Lake and Tooele Counties. Services are funded through Medicaid, grants, and county support, and the team offers more than 25 years of experience helping people build a well-rounded plan that works in everyday life. Clinicians coordinate individual and group counseling, deliver dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), manage psychiatric services, provide family therapy, and oversee case management. Group programming reinforces healthy coping strategies, lowers feelings of isolation, and prepares clients to handle real-world triggers with greater confidence. Using practical, research-informed methods, the center helps clients regulate stress and emotions while maintaining involvement with home, work, and family responsibilities. North Valley accepts referrals from physicians, supports hospital step-down transitions, and also welcomes people who self-refer. Peer support is an important part of the program, helping clients feel understood and supported. With scheduling options designed to match daily routines, the center helps adults remain connected to their communities while continuing to make progress in recovery.
