About House of Hope
This nonprofit organization supports adult women in overcoming substance use disorders through residential, day treatment, and outpatient services. Its distinctive approach enables mothers to remain with their children while they are in care, helping strengthen the process of family reunification. The center operates four recovery homes in Salt Lake City and provides additional programming in Provo, with an emphasis on healing the whole family rather than treating only the individual.
Services include group therapy, relapse prevention, parenting education, and life skills groups. Each participant works with a dedicated care team made up of a therapist, a case manager, and a children’s case manager. The Hope Center for Children offers therapeutic childcare, parenting guidance, and family-focused support designed to reinforce recovery and reunification.
Clients stay in women-only housing with staff support available around the clock. At the Amaryllis recovery home, women have private rooms with en suite bathrooms and televisions within a renovated historic mansion. Nutritious meals are prepared daily by a chef. The center also provides childcare for women in aftercare, creating a secure, welcoming environment where clients can heal and plan for a healthier future.
