About Helen's Project

Helen’s Project is a non-profit organization working to improve mental health services for communities of color. With a focus on remote care, clients can access counseling more easily, getting support for many concerns in a convenient format.

Helen’s Project offers counseling for a wide range of symptoms and diagnoses, such as anxiety, experiences of abuse, anger management, depression, grief, self-harm, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and concerns related to sexuality. Services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team that includes licensed therapists, licensed social workers trained and certified in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and mental health nurse practitioners, creating a comprehensive treatment approach. The organization accepts major private and public insurance plans, including Tricare and Medicare, and also offers a sliding scale fee option based on clients’ income.
