About Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center

Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center in Dallas/Plano provides intensive outpatient care (IOP) and a day treatment program (PHP) for adults dealing with mood, anxiety, and trauma-related concerns.

Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center delivers coordinated, multidisciplinary treatment led by internationally recognized specialists with a total of 200 years of combined clinical experience. The IOP runs on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30am to 12:30pm and includes weekly one-on-one sessions along with group programming, such as process-focused groups and skill-building groups. The PHP is offered Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4pm, and is structured to resemble a typical work schedule while prioritizing the practice of recovery skills that clients can carry into everyday life.

Supported by a caring clinical team, clients work to better understand their minds and bodies through evidence-based approaches and additional techniques such as meditation, yoga, and mindfulness. For trauma-related disorders, the center incorporates a CBT model that uses exposure and response prevention and behavioral activation to reduce learned patterns of avoidance, along with anxiety and fear that can follow traumatic experiences. The program also utilizes acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help individuals build a meaningful life and learn to acknowledge the difficult moments that are part of living.

To promote lasting progress, clinicians collaborate with a client’s current outpatient providers to review treatment background and goals and meet weekly to share updates. When a client does not already have outpatient support, Pathlight staff can help arrange referrals to therapists and psychiatrists. Support continues beyond discharge: the team develops a customized discharge plan and provides aftercare options, including alumni resources, to help clients transition successfully.
