About Positive Recovery Center Cinco Ranch

Positive Recovery Centers offers comprehensive, individualized addiction treatment for adults who also face co-occurring mental health disorders, with services available across multiple sites in the Houston, Hill Country, and Dallas/Fort Worth regions. At their Cinco Ranch location, clients can access outpatient care including a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), a supportive outpatient program (SOP), and intensive outpatient virtual therapy.

The overall continuum of care is built to help clients steadily take on more personal responsibility while reducing reliance on highly structured, intensive treatment. At the same time, it maintains ongoing support for both clients and their families.

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Positive Recovery Centers is the highest level of outpatient structure and accountability. It commonly serves as a transition for people moving from residential treatment to outpatient care, offering a more intensive schedule without requiring 24/7 residential supervision. Clients may participate while living at home or in a sober living environment. PHP is especially well-suited for those stepping down from inpatient care or for individuals seeking sobriety who do not need round-the-clock monitoring and stabilization.

In the PHP program, clients complete at least 20 hours of structured programming each week and attend weekly meetings with a physician, who may provide medication management when appropriate. Positive Recovery Centers’ programming is centered on the evidence-based “positive recovery” curriculum, complemented by other proven treatment approaches. Activities such as music and art appreciation may also be included to support reflection, emotional processing, and personal growth.

The IOP is designed for individuals who are prepared to return to work, school, or other commitments. It keeps clients actively involved in treatment while offering flexible scheduling through daytime, evening, and virtual options. Most clients participate in 9–12 hours of treatment, three to four days per week, for about eight weeks. The program emphasizes coping and life skills, symptom management, relapse prevention, and building a strong support system outside of treatment.

Supportive outpatient programming (SOP) offers outpatient individual counseling during early recovery, often after PHP or IOP. Clients continue building their recovery in a safe, structured setting that reinforces progress, strengthens positive habits, and supports continued healing.

Positive Recovery Centers also includes family participation and supportive aftercare. Family workshops help address each member’s needs, encourage constructive behavior changes, and support honest, open communication. Clients and family members can take part in educational presentations, group therapy, and hands-on activities that promote understanding and growth.

Aftercare services typically include weekly group support meetings facilitated by licensed counselors. This level of support can lower the risk of relapse, reinforce coping skills, strengthen social and communication abilities, and encourage healthier lifestyle choices. Depending on individual goals, aftercare may continue for weeks, months, or even years, and may include participation in community recovery groups such as 12-step programs. Positive Recovery Centers can also provide monthly progress reports for employers or licensing boards when required.
