About Positive Recovery LLC

Positive Recovery Centers delivers individualized treatment for adults dealing with addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions across multiple sites in the Greater Houston, Hill Country, and Dallas/Fort Worth regions. At the Houston Galleria location, clients can access outpatient care options, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), supportive outpatient program (SOP), and intensive outpatient virtual therapy.

The center’s approach to care is built as a step-by-step continuum that increases clients’ autonomy while gradually reducing the intensity and structure of treatment. At the same time, it maintains consistent guidance and resources for clients and their families.

The PHP at Positive Recovery Centers is the most structured outpatient option and is designed to strengthen accountability. It often serves as a transition program for people moving from residential treatment to outpatient care, delivering a higher level of clinical support while still allowing clients to remain at home or in a sober living environment. This level of care is well-suited for those stepping down from residential programs, as well as individuals who are pursuing sobriety but do not need constant 24/7 supervision and stabilization.

In the PHP program, participants complete at least 20 hours of structured programming each week and meet weekly with a physician, who can provide medication management when needed. Treatment is guided by the evidence-based Positive Recovery curriculum, supported by additional proven therapeutic practices. Clients may also take part in recreational and experiential activities, such as music and art appreciation, to promote reflection, emotional expression, and personal growth.

Like PHP, the IOP is structured for clients who are prepared to take on work, school, or other daily responsibilities. The program keeps clients fully engaged in treatment while providing flexibility through daytime, evening, and virtual scheduling. Typically, clients participate in 9–12 hours of programming per week, 3–4 days weekly, for a total of about eight weeks. The curriculum emphasizes coping and life skills, symptom management, relapse prevention, and building a reliable support system outside of treatment.

Supportive outpatient programming (SOP) offers counseling in an outpatient setting to help individuals navigate early recovery, often after completing PHP or IOP. The environment remains safe, supportive, and structured, reinforcing healthy progress and continuing the healing process.

Positive Recovery Centers also includes strong family involvement and aftercare services. Family workshops are designed for everyone in the household, promoting constructive behavior changes and encouraging open, honest communication. Clients and family members can attend educational sessions, participate in group therapy, and join experiential activities that support understanding and growth.

Aftercare includes weekly group support meetings facilitated by licensed counselors. This ongoing support can lower the chance of relapse, strengthen coping strategies, improve social and communication skills, and encourage healthier lifestyle choices. Aftercare length varies based on individual needs and may continue for weeks, months, or even years. It may also include community-based recovery options such as 12-step programs when appropriate. When required, Positive Recovery Centers provides monthly progress reports to employers or licensing boards.
