About The Meadows Outpatient Center - Austin

The Meadows Outpatient Center provides care for substance use disorders, trauma, mental health concerns, and related co-occurring conditions through an 8-week intensive outpatient program (IOP). The Meadows Model draws on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), group sessions, neurofeedback, somatic experiencing, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), 12-Step-based support, and a wellness component. Participants typically receive 15 to 20 hours per week of in-person programming, available during both daytime and evening schedules.

The clinical team is trained in Post-Induction Therapy (PIT) and completes in-depth experiential education focused on trauma treatment. The Meadows uses modern, evidence-informed approaches to help people work through the underlying causes of trauma and addiction within a secure, supportive environment. The overarching aim is to help clients develop the strength to engage with painful topics, process grief and loss, recover from emotional trauma, and take responsibility for their thoughts, actions, and ongoing recovery.

In addition, The Meadows delivers its IOP in a convenient, flexible virtual format, enabling clients to access treatment from home. The Meadows is accredited by the Joint Commission and works with most major insurance plans.
