About Northwest Counseling and Wellness

At Northwest Counseling and Wellness, recovery reaches past the body and into the whole person. The center works with individuals facing substance use challenges and mental health concerns that occur at the same time. Treatment is offered at different levels of care, and clients benefit from a blend of western clinical methods and complementary eastern approaches such as yoga, acupuncture, and qigong. With an emphasis on stability, self-awareness, and inner restoration, the program supports adults ages 18 and older, and it can be flexible for those near 18 to ensure timely care. The result is a welcoming environment where people from different backgrounds can grow.

Their model combines well-established western psychotherapy with time-tested holistic practices. Clients may receive individual counseling or couple counseling, as well as family therapy, along with nutrition counseling to support overall health. A variety of additional services are also available, including auricular acupuncture, mindfulness meditation, massage therapy, and qigong, all aimed at treating the full spectrum of wellness. Alongside these holistic options, Northwest Counseling and Wellness uses evidence-based interventions such as compassion focused therapy (CFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), guiding clients toward recovery with a structured, supportive plan.

Healing continues after the initial phase of treatment. The center provides ongoing follow-up through services like the mindful aftercare group and SMART Recovery, helping clients maintain connection and responsibility as they move forward. This continued support strengthens community ties and resilience, allowing individuals to keep developing the tools they need for sustained well-being and long-term sobriety.
