About West River Mental Health

West River Mental Health’s Mainstream Campus provides outpatient services for children, families, adults, and seniors who face mental health and substance use challenges. The center focuses on helping individuals return to everyday community life, regain stability during emergencies, reduce the risk of homelessness, and work through issues connected to the justice system. Support plans are tailored and flexible, offering both face-to-face and telehealth appointments. The approach uses evidence-based treatment methods to address everyday difficulties such as anxiety, anger, and conflict within families. Care may include individual and group therapy, family and play therapy, as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Through these services, clients develop coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and build a greater sense of control. Programs are organized around different needs, including PATH for preventing homelessness, IMPACT-West for people with more complex mental health concerns, and Ontrack SD for individuals involved with the justice system. Children may receive services at home, in school, or at the clinic, helping families access help at the right time and place.
