About BHG Charleston Treatment Center
Behavioral Health Group (BHG) is a prominent outpatient provider of addiction recovery services, working alongside referral partners to help people rebuild their lives after opioid use. Using evidence-based methods, BHG’s multidisciplinary staff combines medication-assisted treatment (MAT), individual and group counseling, and wraparound supports. Together, these services are shaped around each person’s needs, preferences, and recovery goals.
With 114 treatment centers in 22 states, BHG operates the largest Joint Commission-accredited outpatient network in the United States. This scale enables the organization to apply standardized, high-quality care across its programs, reaching more than 43,000 patients each day. The organization reports strong results: 92% of patients show improved quality of life and mental health, 83% report reduced substance use, and 45% obtain employment during their first year of treatment.
BHG also stands out as one of the 4.2% of national treatment organizations that provides all three FDA-approved medications for opioid use disorder, along with counseling and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) at select locations. Its whole-person model focuses on improving engagement in care, lowering opioid use, reducing risky behaviors, and supporting sustained recovery over the long term.
