About Aiken Center

Aiken Center helps teens and adults who are dealing with alcohol and drug use, trauma, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. For adolescents ages 12 to 18, the center provides outpatient and intensive outpatient programs (IOP), including walk-in assessments. What sets Aiken Center apart is its respectful, non-judgmental style, with an emphasis on involving families to strengthen recovery over the long term. Program options such as the Women’s IOP offer focused support for issues like trauma, parenting, and gender-specific experiences.

Care is provided by licensed counselors and therapists along with peer support specialists, using proven, evidence-based treatment methods. Clients can receive individual and group counseling, family therapy, and guidance from peers who have firsthand experience with recovery. During treatment, teens and adults learn strategies to handle stress, strengthen self-confidence, and form healthy daily routines. Medication-assisted recovery (MAR) is also available for individuals struggling with opioids or alcohol, combining medication and therapy to improve lasting outcomes.

Participants generally live at home while attending services at Aiken Center, allowing treatment to fit into everyday life while still providing structure. The center offers a warm, supportive atmosphere designed to help clients feel safe and accepted. Telehealth is available to make ongoing care easier, and families are encouraged to take part so they can continue supporting progress after sessions. In addition, community-based resources such as free Narcan kits help lower overdose risk, and the Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program (ADSAP) assists people with DUI-related charges. Together, these programs reduce barriers to care by offering practical tools, education, and support that make recovery more achievable and connected to daily routines.
