About Fora Health

Fora Health is a long-established nonprofit treatment organization in Oregon, previously operating as De Paul Treatment Centers. It offers complete treatment and support, along with advocacy, for people dealing with substance use and mental health conditions that occur at the same time. For more than 50 years, Fora Health has served over 55,000 individuals using a trauma-informed, research-supported approach. Its full range of services includes individualized care plans, mental health treatment, programs for dual diagnosis, family therapy, and peer recovery mentoring. The center works to maintain a welcoming, stigma-free atmosphere and promotes radical kindness, partnering with local organizations to help people achieve sustainable recovery.

Fora Health’s Withdrawal Management program takes clients at its Portland location through an in-person walk-in process, from Monday to Saturday. Admission depends on the results of an intake screening interview and whether beds are available, with no advance reservations. The program accepts the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and most insurance plans; however, on Saturdays admissions are limited to OHP patients. People coming from outside surrounding counties or those with private insurance should contact the center in advance during business hours to arrange enrollment.
