About Discover Recovery
Discover Recovery is a leading provider of addiction recovery and dual-diagnosis care throughout the Pacific Northwest. The center’s model is grounded in holistic, research-driven practice and a trauma-informed perspective, combining professional clinical treatment with wellness-focused activities to help people rebuild stability and direction in their lives.
In Portland, Discover Recovery offers two main outpatient programs. The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) delivers a tightly structured schedule of daytime clinical sessions, so participants can go home each night. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) uses a more adaptable plan with several therapy meetings each week, enabling clients to continue managing work, school, or family responsibilities while still receiving comprehensive support. Both options include dual-diagnosis services that treat substance use issues alongside co-occurring mental health conditions. Treatment typically consists of individual and group therapy, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), family counseling, and aftercare planning. The center also uses trauma-informed interventions and complementary holistic therapies such as mindfulness, art therapy, sound baths, and hands-on experiential activities. These programs are ideal for individuals who need substantial clinical support but do not require 24/7 residential care.
Across its service locations, Discover Recovery offers a full range of treatment levels to support a seamless transition as needs change. While the Portland site is centered on outpatient care, the Washington locations include options like detox, residential treatment, sober living, aftercare, and targeted programs for veterans and executives. Discover Recovery does not accept Medicare, Medicaid, or other state-funded insurance, but they work with most major private insurance plans and also provide self-pay choices.
