Center for Family Development

Kairos is a live-in mental health rehabilitation program designed for young adults from 17 to 24 years old. It assists people facing mental health and behavioral challenges by providing round-the-clock support in a comfortable, home-like environment. Participants receive housing, meals, and clinical services while learning practical life skills and progressing toward greater independence. The program is built to support personal growth in each resident’s own timeframe through consistent structure and involvement in the community.
Kairos follows a trauma-informed, person-centered model shaped by Feedback Informed Treatment. Residents have access to therapy, skills development, case management, peer support, and medication oversight. Services are planned around individual needs and goals, using evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family therapy, and behavioral coaching. Ongoing assistance, including personal care support and connections to outpatient services, helps ensure needs are addressed in a way that remains flexible and respectful.
Residents stay in fully furnished private rooms, with shared bathrooms and access to welcoming communal areas. The homes provide meals, laundry, and outdoor spaces where residents can unwind. With help coordinating transportation, recreation, education, and employment, residents strengthen confidence and move toward self-sufficiency. A secure and steady setting prepares young adults for what comes next, whether that is independent living, continuing education, or starting a job.
