About Family and Childrens Services
Family & Children's Services Salvation Army Office provides screening and assessment, homeless support, outpatient adult mental health care, re-entry services for people involved with the justice system, and community outreach. Operating as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic with a long-standing history of over a century, it delivers screening, assessment, and outpatient services through ten different locations, helping clients get support close to where they live when it matters most.
The center uses proven treatment approaches, including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), to address trauma at its source. By combining care for physical, emotional, and social wellbeing, these services are designed to support each person’s goals and promote long-term recovery.
Family & Children's Services Salvation Army Office also offers specialized programming, such as Parenting in Jail (PIJ) classes for incarcerated parents, based on the Parenting Inside Out® curriculum, with the aim of strengthening parent-child relationships and lowering the likelihood of reoffending. The BRIDGES program assists individuals returning from correctional facilities by providing the resources and guidance needed to reintegrate into the community successfully.
