KAV Health Dayton, situated near I-675 and also known as Dayton Suboxone Doctor, provides services for adults across the southwest Ohio region. The center focuses on mental health care, substance use treatment, and eating disorder support. Their mental health services cover a range of conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, mania, hypomania, PTSD, personality disorders, schizophrenia, trauma, insomnia, and other mood-related diagnoses. For substance use, they address addiction involving alcohol, heroin, opioids, prescription medications, morphine, codeine, and other opiates. They also offer help for eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating, rumination, regurgitation, and avoidant or restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
KAV Health provides same-day consultations, after which a tailored treatment plan is developed to match the individual’s needs for either in-person or virtual care, especially when conditions occur together. Therapy includes approaches grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and the pace of treatment is guided by the client. Along with individual and group therapy, KAV Health offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for both mental health concerns and substance use disorders. For MAT, they primarily use Suboxone, a combination of buprenorphine and naloxone designed to help lower cravings for opioids, alcohol, and other substances.
The center also treats PTSD and other mental health needs with medical marijuana in accordance with Ohio regulations, offering THC-based options as permitted by law. KAV Health is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and some virtual counselors provide extended evening and weekend availability.
In addition to the Dayton clinic, KAV Health has multiple other locations in southwest Ohio serving mental health, substance use, and eating disorders, including a Cincinnati West facility that focuses on substance use. They may also coordinate care with nearby primary health clinics for additional concerns. For aftercare, KAV Health offers sober living support through Izzy's House, a network of seven sober living centers connected to their clinics and providing Suboxone as part of treatment. In Dayton, their women’s residences and three of the five men’s residences are part of Izzy's House.
