About Freedom Recovery of Ohio

Freedom Recovery provides outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and telehealth support for people dealing with substance use concerns in the Columbus, Ohio region. The center combines evidence-based care with a 12-Step program and a faith-based framework. Services are offered through both day and evening options so clients can choose schedules that match their routines. The team works with each participant to create an individualized treatment plan and to strengthen relapse prevention skills using the 12-Step process. Freedom Recovery serves clients through six different locations across the greater Columbus area.

The intensive outpatient program runs for three hours each day, three times per week, and follows a highly structured format. It tends to be a good fit for those who have strong support at home, since the majority of each person’s time occurs outside the treatment setting. For individuals who need more scheduling flexibility, the outpatient program may be preferable, especially for caregivers or those who cannot reduce work duties. Telehealth services can also be helpful for people who live far from the center, experience mobility limitations, or prefer to keep their participation private. In addition, telehealth may offer continued support for graduates.

Freedom Recovery uses a holistic approach that addresses mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Clients take part in individual counseling, 12-Step groups, and additional group therapy where they work through emotions, values, and personal challenges while building healthier coping skills. Personalized care is designed to support long-term recovery from addiction and co-occurring mental health needs. Freedom Recovery follows a non-denominational Christian perspective, emphasizing healing through God’s grace. Although many staff members are Christian and prayer is included in programming, people of all faith backgrounds are able to receive treatment.
