Delamere Health enables meaningful change for people struggling with alcohol and drug use, as well as process and behavioural addictions, through medically supervised detox and residential treatment. With support from seasoned, caring professionals, clients help shape their own recovery plan, drawing on current therapeutic approaches alongside somatic and holistic methods. Set in the peaceful countryside of Cheshire, the calm surroundings encourage hope and momentum from the first day of admission.

At Delamere Health, recovery is about healing the entire person, not only addressing the presenting issue or symptom. The programme starts with the “Stop” phase, which supports a safe, well-managed withdrawal overseen by a 24-hour medical team. In the “Start” stage, clients explore the psychological factors behind their dependency. The “Grow” phase helps them apply what they have learned to everyday life after leaving treatment. The “Bloom” stage then provides focused weekly help during the first three months following return home.

The centre’s structured, intensive therapy schedule includes time for open discussion through four one-to-one sessions each week, alongside group and family sessions. This helps clients be honest with themselves and with the people around them. Throughout their stay, they learn practical strategies to safeguard and sustain sobriety long after treatment ends.

In addition, Delamere Health has recently been recognised as Best Amazing Space in the Northern Design Awards and is often described as a modern boutique setting. Surrounded by six acres of landscaped grounds next to a forest, it feels private, creative and exceptionally well-resourced. Comfortable en-suite bedrooms are supported by welcoming shared areas and thoughtful extras such as an art studio, gym, yurt and cinema room. Wi-fi is provided across the property, and clients may use their own devices; leisure options are varied, and meals are prepared fresh, wholesome and nourishing. Free collection is available from anywhere in the UK as well as from any airport.

No matter a client’s situation, whether they are a parent, retired, returning to life in their community, preparing to work, or starting education, Delamere Health designs an individual aftercare plan. The 12-month aftercare module includes weekly therapy groups, connection days, and remote support for everyone who completes the programme.
