About Adolescent Alternatives

At Adolescent Alternatives, adolescent males who are struggling emotionally or behaviorally are provided a safe place to work through their difficulties. The program is designed to help participants develop the skills needed either for reunification with their families or for a successful transition to independent living, so they can meet the demands of adulthood with confidence.

The center uses proven, evidence-based approaches, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS). Through these treatments, teens learn effective coping strategies, begin healing from earlier trauma, and strengthen their emotional health. Alongside clinical therapy, Adolescent Alternatives also offers life skills development, support for social growth, and job readiness training, giving young people practical tools for building stable and independent futures.
