About Willows at Red Oak Recovery

Hidden among the green hills of North Carolina, The Willows at Red Oak Recovery is a women-only treatment facility for adults 18 and older. It focuses on individualized, person-centered care and supports clients dealing with addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, disordered eating, and related challenges. The program also addresses identity exploration, social and emotional growth, body image concerns, and self-esteem. Participants receive at least 25 hours of clinical treatment, along with 2 to 3 individual counseling sessions each week. Sessions are led by a licensed clinician with a master’s degree.

The Willows supports military veterans as well, offering trauma-informed care designed around veterans’ specific needs and accepting VA insurance.

Believing that recovery involves more than the individual, The Willows works to heal the whole family system. Family programming is based in emotionally focused therapy and attachment theory, with weekly sessions through a family therapist, monthly family workshops, and family intensive experiences. The center also offers aftercare support services and an alumni network to help women maintain progress after treatment ends.

The Willows at Red Oak Recovery’s goal is to help each woman strengthen her sense of self. The experiential therapy program includes a wide range of activities such as art therapy, rock climbing, horseback riding, canoeing, and ecotherapy. Additional holistic options include nutrition counseling, yoga, and acupuncture.

The Willows at Red Oaks Recovery is part of Bradford Health Services, providing care for adults across the southeastern United States through residential, day (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs.
