About Pyramid Asheville

Pyramid Healthcare Asheville (previously known as October Road) provides caring, professional outpatient treatment for people dealing with substance use disorders. The center offers partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and medication-assisted treatment for individuals with opioid or alcohol addiction. Through these services, clients work on building a strong support system, strengthening educational and job-related skills, improving communication and family relationships, and learning how addiction develops from a scientific perspective. For those who also face mental health challenges, Pyramid provides targeted dual-diagnosis programs. While clients participate in outpatient care, they may also use gender-specific transitional living homes to reside in during treatment.

Pyramid develops individualized treatment plans based on each client’s needs. Counselors often use the Matrix Model, which combines cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing to support progress in early recovery. The program also includes approaches designed to help clients develop inner stability and rely on their support network, rather than turning to substances.
