About Otter House Recovery

Otter House Recovery provides programs and support for young men who are ready to take real steps toward sobriety and build a stable, drug-free life. Every day, residents take part in individual and group sessions designed to strengthen their commitment to recovery. As they move through the three stages of the sober living program, the men attend daily 12-step meetings. The first stage focuses on structure and restrictions, the second stage emphasizes re-entry, and the third stage is built around developing self-sufficiency. With each phase, the men gain greater independence. In the reintroduction phase, they are supported in returning to work and continuing their education. By the final phase, they prepare for a successful return to everyday life while maintaining sobriety.

Residents are also expected to work through key elements of recovery, including regular one-on-one meetings with their sponsor, medication-assisted treatment when it is appropriate, learning financial responsibility, actively seeking employment, joining group meals, and participating in family therapy. While living at the center, they also receive a free gym membership to promote healthy routines and long-term wellness.
