About Unity House
Caz Recovery Garden Lofts, situated within The Marine Hospital in Buffalo, offers supportive housing for adults facing challenges related to substance use and concurrent mental health disorders. The residents gain access to outpatient therapy, mental health care, and essential medical services, along with reintegration assistance that includes vocational training, educational resources, and financial guidance.
Caz Recovery personalizes its approach for each individual, focusing on their specific recovery aspirations and treatment requirements. Apart from reintegration, clients have opportunities to engage in individual and group therapy, as well as receive care that is holistic and trauma-informed. The center provides education on daily living skills, financial management, vocational or academic development, case management, and strategies for preventing relapse, all designed to foster self-sufficiency and autonomy.
Garden Lofts features 23 spacious, fully furnished studio apartments conveniently located along a major bus route and within easy walking distance of subway stations, shops, restaurants, and other amenities. The apartments come equipped with key fob entry, essential kitchen appliances, and laundry facilities available on every floor. The program is accredited by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports to deliver reintegration services and is monitored by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative and the New York State Homeless Housing Assistance Program. Eligible residents must be 18 or older, have a diagnosed substance use disorder, and be experiencing homelessness or at risk of it.
