About Terrace House

Terrace House, which is part of Horizon Health Services in Buffalo, New York, supports people dealing with substance use disorder through continuous, medically supervised inpatient detox and stabilization. The center addresses co-occurring mental health conditions and provides individualized care through one-on-one counseling, group therapy, and family counseling.

The 68-bed residential detox and stabilization program is staffed by a multidisciplinary team with professional training in mental health and substance use counseling, offering structured, whole-person assistance. Clients receive medication and therapeutic services while also working with vocational and educational counseling. Where appropriate, Terrace House coordinates involvement of family and community support systems and develops aftercare plans to help clients move smoothly to the next stage of treatment.
