About Casa Di Vita
Caz Recovery Casa Di Vita is a residential recovery program designed as a community-style home for adult women dealing with substance use issues and related co-occurring disorders. Situated on the west side of Buffalo, the center can accommodate up to 19 residents and focuses on helping women transition back into everyday life. This includes linking participants with outpatient mental health and substance abuse services, appropriate primary and specialty medical care, and opportunities for education or job-related support. The program is intended for adult women who are dependent on alcohol or drugs and who are currently homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Caz Recovery Casa Di Vita tailors support to each individual by assessing personal recovery objectives and treatment needs. The duration of stay can range from several weeks to a few months, or even longer, depending on the care plan created for that person. Along with reintegration efforts, residents take part in both one-on-one and group therapy, and they receive holistic, trauma-informed treatment. Programming also includes daily instruction in life skills, case management, and relapse-prevention planning, with an overall emphasis on empowerment, self-management, and independence.
Casa Di Vita provides semi-private bedrooms, on-site meals, and access to a recreation area where structured group activities take place. The facility is located along a main bus route, and alternative transportation may be arranged. The program is certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports to deliver reintegration services, and it is supervised by the Erie County Department of Mental Health.
