Set in Von, Efstaleiti 7, the Reykjavík center provides a variety of support services for people and families dealing with addiction. The program includes day treatment (PHP), counseling on weekdays, diagnostic interviews, and continued long-term support following inpatient care. Participants can join daily peer support groups and take part in open lectures aimed at increasing knowledge about addiction. Family members are also offered a structured four-week caregiver program, combining informative presentations with facilitated group conversations. Adolescents struggling with addiction may attend the U-group, a weekly outpatient therapy meeting led by a counselor and a psychologist. This session gives teens the opportunity to discuss their experiences and practice coping strategies within a supportive peer environment. Children between 8 and 18 years old who have a parent or close relative with addiction can receive weekly individual sessions with a psychologist. When clients live outside Reykjavík, remote meetings are available after an initial face-to-face appointment. Services are delivered in both private and group formats, helping individuals and families receive care without disrupting their everyday routines. For those outside Reykjavík, remote sessions are arranged following the first in-person visit. Typically, a caregiver attends the initial session to help the child engage in treatment.
