About Acenda Flemington

Acenda Integrated Health, often referred to as Acenda, is a nonprofit mental health provider delivering more than 100 supportive programs across New Jersey. The organization supports people of all ages as well as their families, with a particular focus on individuals and households facing significant risk. Acenda is accredited by both the Joint Commission and the state of New Jersey.

Treatment is delivered using an evidence-based model that combines widely used counseling approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). In addition, Acenda pairs therapy with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and medication management. By addressing cravings related to substance use and providing psychiatric support when needed, clients are better able to concentrate on therapy and strengthen recovery over time. Programs generally run for about 12 to 16 weeks.

In certain situations, Acenda also offers less common, specialized interventions, including parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) and trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT) when appropriate. Services can be adapted to better serve veterans, individuals with autism, pregnant women, and mothers with children up to age three.

Acenda provides care through its on-site location as well as through a HIPAA-compliant virtual platform. Clients can receive either standard outpatient services or a higher level of care through intensive outpatient (IOP), helping match the frequency of therapy to their needs while keeping it compatible with their schedules. The center is located in Hunterdon County, just west of Flemington’s downtown.
