About We Care Foundation

Located in the historic Huntridge area, We Care Foundation is a non-profit recovery residence that provides a warm, home-like setting for women working through drug and alcohol addiction. Established in 1961, the center offers a calm, sober environment where women from all walks of life can start their healing journey. The approach follows the 12-Step framework and is designed to support long-term recovery through encouragement, routine, and steady personal development.

Participants reside in small living groups and take part in structured daily activities, including meetings, book-based learning, and peer conversations. Through these sessions, they build skills in accountability and integrity while learning how to make healthier choices moving forward. Since the home accommodates no more than eight women at a time, it maintains a close-knit, family-like atmosphere that helps residents feel cared for and connected.

We Care Foundation also provides ongoing help after treatment through “Grateful Hearts,” a community of graduates. Former residents remain engaged by offering mentorship, sharing their own progress, and supporting women who are still in recovery. Many alumni return for gatherings and meetings, strengthening a dependable network that continues to support participants well beyond the program.
