About The Link Inc
The Link Halfway House is a licensed residential program designed for adult men (19+) who are working to recover from long-term substance use and may also have co-occurring mental health issues. To enter, residents must finish a short-term treatment program and demonstrate at least 30 days of sobriety.
The center offers 9 to 12 months of organized assistance in a supportive sober living environment for individuals who have completed intensive care. The approach combines the 12-step model with a whole-person philosophy. Each resident follows a personalized plan that includes one-on-one counseling and group sessions, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, employment support, and instruction in practical life skills. Licensed counselors and peer recovery staff collaborate closely with residents to strengthen emotional health, accountability, and the habits needed for sustained recovery.
Residents stay in a safe, home-like setting with staff available around the clock. Participation includes working 40 hours per week, or volunteering 20 hours per week for those receiving disability benefits, along with managing their own medications. After completing the program, graduates receive free outpatient therapy and may participate in an alumni support group. Many residents continue their recovery through the nearby Lincoln or Truman Houses, where structure and peer support remain available.
