About BIG SKY Treatment

Set in northwestern Montana, BIG SKY Treatment delivers outpatient care for adults and adolescents dealing with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma, as well as substance use disorders involving alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methamphetamine, or opioids including fentanyl, oxycodone, and kratom. The center provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) designed to support relapse prevention and promote sustained recovery. BIG SKY Treatment holds multiple certifications, including those from the Joint Commission, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, NAATP (National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers), and SAMHSA.

The program can run from several weeks to a number of months. Therapists and clinicians determine the length of care by reviewing progress on a regular basis and adjusting treatment as needed.

BIG SKY Treatment also offers virtual therapy, along with sober living support. By leveraging its mountain setting near Glacier National Park, the center incorporates experiential approaches into its programming. Services may include equine therapy, rafting, hiking, sailing, powerboating, art therapy, and music therapy, with the focus on emotional healing and greater self-awareness.

BIG SKY Treatment is part of The Raleigh House, which provides experiential treatment for both mental health and substance use disorders. The organization changed the Montana site name from “Raleigh House Montana” to “BIG SKY Treatment.” In Colorado, The Raleigh House operates a ranch that offers inpatient and day treatment options and includes rock climbing as part of its programs.
