About AMFM Mental Health Treatment

AMFM Mental Health Treatment is an integrative residential mental health provider that focuses on gender-specific care and delivers primary mental healthcare for up to eight clients at a time. Based in Minnesota, AMFM creates a welcoming, safe atmosphere and offers individualized support with round-the-clock attention. The center views recovery as something broader than standard therapy and medication alone. Their program is thoughtfully organized, combining evidence-based interventions, supportive therapeutic relationships, and chef-prepared, nourishing meals—each detail reflecting care, structure, and purpose.

To tailor services effectively, AMFM begins with thorough assessments that explore clients’ symptoms, personal history, difficulties, and existing strengths. Using this information, the team develops treatment plans that align with each person’s strengths and needs. The center provides care for primary mental health concerns as well as co-occurring issues: AMFM delivers 60 hours each week of clinical programming, including medication management, several individual sessions weekly, weekly family therapy, and case management.

With a compassionate, evidence-informed approach, AMFM works to address the underlying drivers of mental health challenges, using medication when it is clinically appropriate. Licensed professionals provide therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and others. In addition, AMFM offers transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) as a distinct option. Clients attend one individual session each week with a psychiatric provider and two individual counseling sessions each week. Throughout the program, mindfulness is integrated to strengthen the impact of the clinical treatments. Clients also participate in life skills training and psychoeducation.
